Draft Equality Objectives Consultation

Purpose of this consultation

Cheshire East Council is consulting on its draft Equality Objectives, as part of its Public Sector Equality Duty and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). A refreshed draft EDI Strategy for 2020-2024 will support the delivery of these objectives and build on the work of our previous Equality and Diversity Strategy of 2017- 2020.

Our vision is to make Cheshire East a welcoming place, where equality, freedom, fairness and opportunity are open to all.  We want everyone to feel valued, to celebrate diversity and to understand people‚Äôs different needs and aspirations whether they are living, visiting or working here.

We now want your views on our draft objectives, to ensure they are the right ones for our staff, residents and communities.

Before completing the survey, please review the full Cheshire East Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (PDF. 12.2mb). It may be useful to keep this open in a separate tab as we will refer to it within the survey.
