Notice of intention to make a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for Crewe Town Centre and Victoria Avenue
In accordance with its duty under Section 72(3) of the Act, the Council would like to seek your views on the implementation on a proposed Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for the Crewe Town Centre and Victoria Avenue area.
The proposed PSPO has been developed in response to concerns about anti-social behaviour within the area, including nuisance, intimidation, excessive noise, substance misuse, obstruction of public spaces, and other behaviours that can negatively affect residents, businesses, visitors and those accessing local services.
If introduced, the PSPO would provide the Council, Police and other authorised officers with additional powers to address specified anti-social behaviours within the designated area. The proposed Order would be in place for up to three years and would apply only within the area shown on the consultation map. The draft Order includes restrictions relating to anti-social behaviour, intoxicating substances, harassment and intimidation, excessive noise, obstruction, and unauthorised structures.
