Dog Fouling and Dog Control Public Space Protection Order proposed extension 2026

In accordance with its duty under Section 72(3) of the Act, the Council would like to seek your views on the proposed extension of our Dog Fouling and Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO), The PSPO took effect on 1st November 2017 and has been extended, following consultation every 3 years since and, unless extended again, will expire at midnight on 31st October 2026. A copy of our current order and draft extension of the order can be found on the Cheshire East Website

At this stage the council is seeking to extend the order in its entirety with no amendments or changes.
 
The closing date for this consultation is 12pm on Monday 14th September 2026
